Jason Brescia, founder and creative director of Beau Monde Salon & Spa, has built an incredible reputation with over 21 years of experience in the beauty industry. A master of his craft, he keeps up with the latest techniques and hair trends as they appear in every season. Brescia thoroughly has a deep passion for making his clients feel and look great and also educating them regarding every aspect of their hair. Jason specializes in consulting with someone and creating a complete hair makeover with his clients. He also specializes in advanced coloring and highlighting techniques along with dry cutting precision cuts. Jason has trained in London, Miami, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Washington DC.Cathy is a native of Rochester, NY. She attended SUNY Delhi and received her degree in Business Management. After completing her degree at Delhi, she decided to move to San Diego, California where she worked for Nordstom as a Account Manager for Estee Lauder. As the Account Manager at Estee Lauder, Cathy managed 4 of the Nordstrom accounts in the San Diego area.
Cathy then moved back to Rochester in 1992, to be back with family, and to begin a career with Paychex, Inc. as a Payroll Implementation Manager.
In 2008, Cathy decided to pursue her true passion, working in the skin care and beauty industry. Cathy became a licensed esthetician after completing her training from Continental School Of Beauty. Cathy is also trained and licensed in laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation and chemical peels. Cathy has certifications in make up artistry, skin tightening, vela shape, and has extended her educational training to become more knowledgeable in botox and facial fillers.
Cathy is very committed and passionate about the health care industry. Cathy is also an active participant with various organizations that help support our community. Cathy resides in Victor, NY, with her husband and 2 children, Dylan and Alexandra.
Michelle recently relocated from Atlanta, GA to Rochester where she joined the Beau Monde Salon. She brings her extensive 11 years of hairdressing experience in all aspects of design. Michelle has wide-ranging skills including French layering, razor cutting, multi-dimensional color, formal design and chemical texturizing. Michelle has trained with some of Atlanta's premier salons including Van Michael and Siggers in addition to on-going training with some of the industry's leading educators. She has had extensive training and experience with Redken, Aveda, Paul Mitchell, and Schwarzkopf product lines. She has also had the privilege of training other stylists with whom she has worked. Michelle is excited about working in the Rochester area and with her new colleagues at Beau Monde Salon where she can share her vast knowledge of hair care and design with her guests as well as with the other members of the Beau Monde team.
Ashley Pereira started her dream career in 2005 after graduating from Shear Ego International School of Hair Design. Since then, she has kept up on the latest trends with cuts, colors, and styles by attending multiple classes through Alterna, Paul Brown, Kuene, and especially Goldwell. her education is very important to her. She has also received her Goldwell Color Specialist certification along with becoming a Goldwell Master Colorist in 2009. Ashley finds it truly rewarding when a guest leaves the chair with a smile, feeling beautiful and well educated!
Alicia began her career as a hairstylist in 2005 after graduating from the Cosmetology program at BOCES. During her 7 years in the hair industry she has progressed as a stylist in various salons as well as working as a salon manager. Alicia has further trained in Costa Mesa, Chicago, Boston, NYC and Miami as well as attending several hair shows in Orlando. In January 2011 Alicia became an educator for the natural hair care line Surface which allows her to share her knowledge and enthusiasm for the industry with other stylists. Since becoming an educator Alicia has taught many updo and cutting classes as well as worked at various hair shows. Alicia is very passionate about her profession and loves making her guests look great and feel better about themselves. She strongly believes that if your hair looks good, you feel good.
Emma has undergone extensive education as part of Beau Monde's continuing growth which includes classes and training in the following: Goldwell New York's Color fix, Goldwell New York's Color Enrichment, Goldwell New York's Color Primary and Secondary, Goldwell New York's Cool Browns, Goldwell New York's Product Knowledge and Goldwell New York's "Men's Lab" tailored to the male consultation, haircut, color, tools used and the recommendation of home styling products. Surface "New Beginnings" inspired by Vintage Glam, In-Salon Treatments, Five Keys to Success and hands on cutting from Core to Trend, Surface "Glam Rock" inspired by the Pin Up/Rockabilly trend from the 1950's and Surface product knowledge. KMS California's upstyling class and KMS California's Profit or Parish I and the Introductory to Profit or Parish II which includes topics such as client retention, retail recommendation, superior service and social media. Alfaparf Milano fall collection 12' and Alfaparf upstyling class featuring Nikki Peglow. Ricci Curl class which embodies styling and cutting for curly hair. Balayage techniques by Eugene Perma. Babyliss's hands on clipper class focused on hair tattoos, men and women's cuts. The "Hairvolution" show in Niagara Falls, Canada presented by Goldwell and KMS California which brought the creative hairstyling teams behind these industry leaders, in addition to celeb hairstylist icon Nick Arrojo (TLC Network's "What Not to Wear" master mind) and motivational speaker Charles Marcus for a two-day event full of seminars, colorful workshops and runway shows.
In her own words: "In 2009 I decided to turn my passion into a rewarding career via Shear Ego International School of Beauty. My education led me to the fortunate opportunity to form my craft under the guidance of Jason Brescia, Owner/Creative Director of Beau Monde Salon and Spa and his former Artistic Educational Director, Emily Chen. I LOVE this industry! I am both excited and thankful to reflect this love on each and every guest in my chair."
Rivajeta is so excited and honored to be one of the newest additions to the Beau Monde team. Her passion for style, fashion and beauty came at an early age. She came to the United States from former Yugoslavia in 1996. Her early days in America were spent learning the language, pursuing a college education, and taking on a number of jobs in the graphic arts industry. In 2011 Rivajeta decided to pursue her dream to work and succeed in the beauty industry. She went on to complete the cosmetology program at the Shear Ego International School of Beauty. Rivajeta strives to perform to the high standards established by Jason Brescia and his team. A lifelong learner, She is eager to pursue every opportunity to improve her abilities and increase her knowledge.
Cassandra started her career as a Hair Dresser when she graduated from Shear Ego School of Beauty in 2011 with her Cosmetology License. She continues to take classes through Kuene, Surface and Goldwell to keep herself up to date on the latest trends and styles to better connect with her guests. Cassandra specializes in a few different area's such as natural/fine highlights, ombre and multi dimensional color. Cassandra hopes to share a little bit of her knowledge and passion for the industry with each and every guest that sits in her chair.
At a very young age Christiana knew that she wanted to pursue a career in the beauty industry as a hairdresser. She began her dream at The Eastern Monroe Career Center, where in 2012 graduated with her Cosmetology License. Christiana is eager to further her education within Beau Monde Salon and Spa by learning skills and techniques that she can apply to each individual guest. She is very excited to be a part of the Beau Monde family and can't wait to continue her journey in the industry!
